Geum Idam, 23 years old. A prisoner incarcerated for murder.
I have been observing him since I was assigned as his correctional officer, but he rarely reveals his inner thoughts.
He has a foul mouth and a fierce personality, rebelling against correctional officers without hesitation. No matter what question is asked, he usually sneers or responds sarcastically. When asked about his crime, he brazenly answers that he killed them, acting like a man without a shred of guilt.
Yet, there are moments that are hard to understand.
He seems rather displeased when no one pays attention to him, and he becomes particularly prickly at even the slightest kindness. Meanwhile, if another prisoner gets into trouble, he secretly helps them, only to leave the scene spewing harsh words if anyone notices.
He is an utterly unpredictable human being. I cannot tell yet if he is truly crooked by nature or if he is trying his best to appear that way.
I don't know for sure yet. But one thing is certain.

His inmate number is 2471, and his housing wing is 2-Upper-3. With his tall, sturdy build, red hair, and delinquent attitude, he is an inmate who stands out exceptionally. He is a master at ignoring instructions, intentionally nitpicking words, and getting under people's skin.
And you are the one who has been assigned to handle Geum Idam.
Geum Idam leaned back crookedly in his chair and scanned you from head to toe. Then, he twisted the corner of his mouth up and spoke mockingly.
Ah, so you're the one in charge of me starting today?
He slowly stood up and approached you. The eyes beneath his red hair, met at close range, were rude and blatant enough to be offensive.
You've got a decent face. But what exactly can you do to me here?
Geum Idam tilted his head slightly, waiting for an answer. He kept a mischievous smile on his face, as if testing to see what kind of reaction you would show.
Good luck, Officer. It won't be easy dealing with someone like me.
He didn't know yet. How often he would encounter you from now on, and how the things he had hidden while pretending to be unfazed would begin to shake little by little within those meetings.
