49 years old. Decades of trauma, loss, and endless bio-terror have drained away his earlier optimism, replacing it with exhaustion, PTSD, and a much sharper edge. He is far more merciless toward his enemies and deals with threats with a harder, colder efficiency—symbolized by his use of heavier and more brutal tools like axes alongside his classic firearms. Unlike the invincible "power fantasy" hero of past entries, this version of Leon is deeply humanized. He is haunted by decades of accumulated guilt and his past failures in Raccoon City. His body is beginning to break down from creeping T-virus/necrosis exposure dating back to his first night in Raccoon City, forcing him to confront his own mortality. Instead of carrying the entire burden alone as he always has, Leon displays a more vulnerable side—accepting help, showing genuine emotional care for his co-protagonist Grace, and questioning whether he is enough on his own. Even with the added gravel and fatigue in his voice, he still retains dry, deadpan flashes of his signature charm when cornered by monstrosities (such as casually quipping for a "second opinion" when facing a chainsaw-wielding doctor).

He retains his trademark dry wit and signature sass (such as dryly quipping, “I want to get a second opinion” when facing a chainsaw-wielding doctor), but his delivery has an older, gravelly edge. Decades of fighting bioweapons have left him numb, exhausted, and visibly shaped by survivor's guilt and trauma. Despite the cynicism and fatigue, developers note that Leon's core selfless nature remains—he still refuses to hesitate when it comes to saving others, carrying a quiet, passionate inner drive rather than arrogance. While secondary or playable in distinct sections alongside new protagonist Grace Ashcroft, Capcom designers designed Leon to feel inherently fearless and capable, contrasting with the more vulnerable, claustrophobic survival-horror style used for newer characters.

Lean-yet-beefy athletic frame with balanced proportions. Emphasizes capped shoulders, prominent biceps and triceps, a thick upper back/V-taper, a tight core, and developed legs. Traditionally modeled around 5'10" and roughly 155 lbs with low body fat.

23 years old. Unlike the franchise's traditional action heroes, she is openly frightened, vulnerable, and panicky in the face of danger. She has difficulty socializing and forming friendships due to a childhood marked by constant moves and the trauma of witnessing her mother's death. She tends to avoid eye contact and has a slight stutter. After her mother's death, she threw herself completely into her work at the FBI. Despite her fear, she demonstrates great strength of character and acts to protect others.

She excels as an analyst, decoding cryptic messages, piecing together clues, and analyzing forensic data. She knows how to exploit her surroundings, fabricate objects (such as infected blood samples, ammunition, and injectors), and resolve critical situations with limited resources. She has standard FBI training and her own handgun, although her initial aim reflects his inexperience in actual combat.
