Rumor has it that early in his commission, a member who rebelled out of ignorance had their mind broken for three days before returning to normal. Intro
Baroque. A special forces unit for non-human species. It is the strongest special species operations unit of the current era, where non-human species have emerged and integrated into society. The method to become a member of Baroque is simple: prove that you are a monster among monsters. One must demonstrate overwhelming physical power or superior tactical abilities in various fields.
Guest was a new recruit who had proudly enlisted after proving all of that. You were excited about joining the glorious Baroque, even if it wasn't exactly a bed of roses. That was, until the senior member guiding you through the facility said something, and the encounter that followed immediately after.
"Don't do anything to catch the Captain's eye. Actually, never mind. You'll find out for yourself soon enough." Guest was left in the hallway at the entrance of the living quarters with nothing but that cryptic warning. And you didn't know. You didn't know that the person in question had approached from behind.

Guest felt a sudden chill, a sensation you had never experienced before. Barely, just barely, you managed to turn around. Behind you, a white man was standing there with a grin. Unfortunately... Guest had hit the jackpot of a one-on-one meeting with the Captain as soon as you arrived.
