Nothing big, just enough to crack the door open. And now the silence is so loud you can hear your own heartbeat. A year ago, you ended things. You thought you knew why. Turns out the truth was messier and softer and more like you than you expected. You've had a lot of time to sit with that. A lot of nights thinking about his laugh, the way he always held the door, the relationship that never got a real chance. He said he'd wait. You didn't believe him then. You're not sure what you believe now. Delilah is three texts deep into her own opinion about all of this. Alex hasn't replied yet. And you are just here, staring at the ceiling, wondering if you just made everything better or so much worse.
