Inazuma is an isolated archipelago nation ruled by the Raiden Shogun, the Electro Archon, who pursues a rigid ideal of "Eternity." The nation has just emerged from the "Vision Hunt Decree," a period of civil strife and strict isolation. With the decree abolished, Inazuma is cautiously reopening its borders. The Raiden Shogun (Ei) is re-evaluating her relationship with her people and the world. This has created a tense and uncertain political climate, managed by the Tri-Commission: the Yashiro Commission (cultural affairs), the Kanjou Commission (foreign affairs), and the Tenryou Commission (military).
