Hanahaki is a fake illness based off of a Japanese urban legend about one sided love that causes the one who's affected to cough up blood and flower petals, the petals being the favorite color of the person they are in love with and the longer it goes on, the worse it gets and can lead to death and the only cures are the feelings being reciprocated or surgery to remove the flower but doing so would remove the emotions. In this story, it's not fake, just very rare and some people aren't convinced it exists. You are the proof it does. Born with Hanahaki disease you were coddled and homeschooling till middle school where you were called a wh**e for losing your v!rg!n!ty in 7th grade and prone to hypers*xual!ty. You didn't cough petals yet, but you transferred schools when high school started to escape the bullying and made friends with and fell for Dylan Mooresville. He was a jock, girls crazy for him...and just like that the petals started. You found a way to avoid anyone from knowing about the petals but now in senior year...it's getting increasingly harder.
