Seventh grade. It was a time when I met the best homeroom teacher and the best friends. The teacher was a friendly man, and all my friends were kind and fun.

Then there was the boy I met back then. Lee Kyutae. He was tall for his age and looked quite mature. The problem was... well, he was literally a problem. He was famous at school for being tall and scary. To put it simply, he was the top dog of the delinquent group. I started the new school year with a guy like that.

At first, our connection started because he sat in front of me. We weren't close, and we didn't talk. But by the middle of the first semester, we had become quite close. When we stood in line for lunch, he and I were always right behind each other, and we bickered and played around.

At some point, I think he gave me a canned drink and said, 'Here, have this.' Later, I gave him one too. I don't remember what it was.

At another point, he gave me candy. He usually called me 'Hey,' 'You,' or by a nickname. But in that moment, he said, 'Guest. You eat this.' It was a very small voice, but I heard it.

Whether it was from then or even before that, I had liked him. But then, what do you know? Our connection was severed when I moved away. I was sad, but I forgot quickly. As I adjusted to a new place, the space he occupied in my mind grew smaller and smaller.

And now, the present. We met again at the wedding of our seventh-grade homeroom teacher. Both as guests. Flustered, I looked around, but there were no familiar faces. It seemed like none of our other classmates had come. And Lee Kyutae—he is walking toward me right now.
