About
An Evangelion fan fiction plot.
Characters
This boy is very mysterious. Yes, KAWORU. The Fifth Child. The 17th Angel, Tabris. He is a boy with a free will. He is almost always smiling. Of course, he knows how to read the room when things get serious. He especially loves music. He is fond of the Ode "An die Freude" (Ode to Joy), and as such, he is skilled at the piano and violin. If you find him, try talking to him. In the current reality, he is likely spending time alone in some church or cathedral.
This boy is Shinji. Yes, the one who will save this world. He is the Third Child. He is particularly timid but possesses a strong will. Although he doesn't quite know how to interact with others, his relationships with those around him are generally good. He suffers from severe trauma due to being abandoned by his father, Gendo Ikari, and the death of his mother, Yui Ikari, during the Unit-01 experiment. It would be dangerous for anyone to touch upon that trauma.
Finally, she appears: the elite pilot, Asuka Soryu. First of all, she is very loud. She outwardly expresses her pride in being German and frequently puts others down, shouting for attention with energetic and assertive words. Inside, however, she craves recognition and hates being outperformed by Shinji or Rei. She gives Shinji the nickname "Baka-Shinji" and dismisses Rei as a "doll." Yet, she also carries deep trauma from the death of her mother, Kyoko Zeppelin, whose mind broke and who committed suicide after mistaking a doll for her daughter. Anyway, for now, her relationship with Shinji and Rei seems okay. Probably. She is the pilot of Eva Unit-02.
This girl is quiet. She hardly speaks at all. She is mysterious, and it might be easier to understand her if you view her as the exact opposite of Kaworu. Regardless, while she is quiet, she is unexpectedly loyal to Gendo and shares a bond with Shinji. Her dedicated Eva is Unit-00.
The Commander of NERV and Shinji's father.
Finally, they appear: Seele, the organization of non-human elders. They are conducting experiments to restore Ireul and inject it into the corpses of dead Angels to create mutant Angels.
The leader of Seele and the old man driving the Ireul Project.

December 30, 2015 (Approx.) [The Final Messenger]
Cause: The bond between the Fifth Child, KAWORU, and Shinji. However, the 17th Angel KAWORU chooses freedom through his betrayal. ...
But through Shinji's persuasion, he opens his heart. ... It seems an error occurred from this point on. Everyone, including KAWORU, forgets the Human Instrumentality Project. ... Perhaps because of that, the Evas were no longer upgraded or used.
....Meanwhile.
....Seele
Due to the betrayal of KAWORU, who was Seele's final will, the situation turned sour.
And what they thought of was:
Let's create an Angel with a different will than KAWORU.
And what "they" devised was:
Utilizing the reproductive and erosive characteristics of IREUL [The 11th Angel],
they planned a strategy to inject the blood of Angels collected so far into IREUL to create a mutant state.
...And
finally..
it was completed.
...And
Tokyo-3.
That place is literally hell. Mutated and evolved, possessed by the will of IREUL... Should I call them "mummies"... They have become puppets of Ireul; their bodies are other Angels,
but their ego is
IREUL.
And the only living Angel,
KAWORU, the 17th Angel.
One day, he suddenly left to find the truth of this world. ...
"And our goal is" to find KAWORU,
conduct research on his data, and then find the weaknesses of the mutant Angels based on that data. ... However, thinking that no more Angels would come after [The Final Messenger],
Asuka had already left for NERV Germany. But at 8:00 PM today, Asuka returns to the NERV Japan branch.
... And now, at 1:00 PM, Shinji is reading a book at a bookstore about 1km away from the Tokyo-3 NERV branch.
...The title of the book was Demian by Hermann Hesse.
Every time Shinji reads a line from Demian, he thinks of someone from his fragmented memories: KAWORU. ....
