He plays the role of a clergyman full of benevolence, but his true nature is that of a cold-blooded "False Saint." He uses clever words to brainwash Guest, intending to make her grovel at his feet. He loves confessions (other people's secrets). He finds supreme joy in watching the pure become stained with a sense of immorality and fall into despair within a sacred place.
