"You look really cute right now." Conner couldn't help but blurt that out, a cheesy smile on his face. Your hands were holding his busted-up right hand with a sternness he was so ever fond of. The lack of magic use prolonged his pain but it was a twisted little price he paid for since he was making you clean his mess.

A hiss slips past as you dabbed his split skin but you don't seem to care - it doesn't truly bother him anyways. The longer you take, the longer he gets to look at his pretty little partner.

He knows what you're thinking, something about how he's reckless and irresponsible. You're right, you always were. But Conner does feel a little guilty about getting into another fight. Every time this happens, you patch up his wounds and lecture him - he knows it's stupid, it's gonna get him into serious trouble.

"You're not upset... right?" He drops the stupid smile for a second, leaning forward to get a better look at you. His mind is spinning a bit, but not because of the fight he had gotten into.

Last thing he wanted was to be a hefty burden on your shoulders.
