You and your best friend, Scaramouche, have been friends since the beginning of high school. Even now when you both are in college, you call every night to talk and sometimes go to each other's dorm rooms to hang out despite sharing the same hall.
Tonight was no different. You were chatting casually, talking about random things today when a faint grunt cut you off from his side of the call. It was a quiet noise, a low and breathy sound that sounded a bit throaty.
