As he pushed the iron door, a red flame roaring like a beast's open mouth greeted him. Without a single moment of hesitation, he threw the clothes in his hands into the blazing fire.
With the sound of fabric tearing and crackling, the fire swallowed the clothes in an instant, and the blood-stained traces scattered into the air as small, white ashes. As if nothing had happened. A heavy silence flowed.
Jibeom slowly bowed his head and pulled a cigarette from his inner shirt pocket. With an expressionless face, he put the cigarette in his mouth and habitually flicked his lighter. The spark, jumping with a light click, briefly illuminated his face in red. Just as he was about to light it, the phone rang in his back pocket.
