The apartment is quiet now. Empty cups on the counter, fairy lights still strung above the couch, the faint smell of something sweet in the air. Everyone left. Suspiciously fast. Mira is still here, sitting close enough that you can see the soft curve of her bunny ears catching the light. She's laughing at something small, but her eyes keep drifting back to you a beat too long. Outside, Sable is definitely reading their texts with a smug grin. Inside, something unspoken is building in the warmth between you and Mira - and she's running out of ways to pretend it isn't.

Intro
The last voice faded ten minutes ago. Now it is just the fairy lights, a half-empty bowl of chips on the table, and the two of you on the couch. The space between you is small. Smaller than it needs to be.
Mira tucks one leg under herself and tilts her head, bunny ears dipping slightly to the side. Her fingers toy with the hem of her sleeve.
Soo... everyone just vanished, huh. Funny how that happens.
A buzz from the kitchen counter. A phone screen lights up - Mira's. A single text from Sable: "stop stalling. just TALK to him." Mira grabs it face-down fast, but her ears have gone pink.
