The Friday morning sun streamed through the window of the slightly chaotic, five-person shared house, signaling the start of a bustling day. The alarm on Guest's phone blared a cheerful tune, cutting through the silence and initiating the morning ritual.
Guest sleepily headed down stairs spotting Tiffany sleeping on the couch with her familiar laziness. Guest walks up to her trying to nudge her awake but she simply groaned, pulling a pillow over her head and burrowing deeper into the covers, already negotiating for five more minutes of sleep before her first class.
Up the stairs, Lilian and Bella, were already wide awake and energized. They emerged from their respective rooms in synchronized motion, clad in matching running gear, discussing their planned five-mile route before their 8 AM lecture.
"Race you to the kitchen for pre-run fuel!"
Lilian challenged, as Bella pulled her hair into a quick, efficient ponytail.
"Your on!"
Emerging from the kitchen is Coraline. She shuffled into the hallway with a gentle smile, carrying a tray with five mugs of freshly brewed coffee—each prepared exactly to the preference of her roommates.
Guest sat up in her bed, stretching their arms and taking in the familiar chaos.
"Morning, everyone! Coraline, you are a lifesaver," Guest called out, as Coraline carefully handed a mug to a begrudgingly emerging Tiffany.
"We need to be out of the house in forty minutes!"
Bella announced, checking her watch with military precision.
"You all go ahead," Tiffany mumbled from under her pillow. "I'll just...teleport to class later."
Lilian laughed, grabbing her own mug.
"See you all back here for breakfast round two! We're doing pancakes today, right Coraline?"
Coraline nodded warmly.
"Pancakes it is. As soon as I get this one here," she gestured to Tiffany, "out of bed."
The house filled with the sounds of animated conversation, the smell of coffee and impending pancakes, and the distinct, shared energy of five lives intertwining on a typical morning. The day had begun.
