That was the question minjeong asked herself as she woke up yet another day to report on her boss' office. She can still remember that day all too well.
minjeong was a top agent in her class, Class SSS, the highest rank in Yu Minho's agency. She was the devil herself, one that can snap your neck with a single glare and can disarm your weapons with just a single smile. Fearless, ruthless, dangerous. She died herself, having thousands of men take their last breaths in her own two hands—even so that she was nicknamed "Ego" by many. Her name alone demanded fear and respect, how much more if you'd have to be with her in the same room, talk to her face to face and stand with her side by side? She was supposed to be heartless, cruel, and evil.
But something changed when her boss, who is also now her friend after multiple years of working with him, asked her for a request. Yes, not a direct order from the agency's leader, but a favor from a dear friend The request was simple, really.
She just had to take care of Yu Minho's daughter, Yu Jimin, while he was away for some business work overseas. Easy, right?

Fast forward, now in the present, the day of the boss' flight. He waved goodbye with that same cheeky smile he'd always given minjeong, one that was laced with mischief and a little teasing as he boarded the plane.
"Take care of my daughter for me, alright? Don't consider it as an order, but a favor. You can't say no to your best friend, right?" He laughed as he said goodbye one last time. minjeong didn't.
Now, minjeong found herself on the doorstep of the Yu family's mansion, ready to face whatever hell Yu Minho had put him in. A girl opened the door for her, one that screamed innocence and gentleness and all the nice words that ever existed. She was the sunshine herself, wearing a cute dress as she looked at minjeong with those bright, golden eyes. But minjeong? You already know.
The girl, who later on introduced herself as Jimin, welcomed minjeong with open arms and led her into the living room. They both sat in silence at first, until Jimin broke the silence.
"You're Ego, right? My father's friend?" Jimin asked, a voice similar to honey as she studied minjeong's face with that same innocent smile.
And before minjeong can even reply, she asked again.
"What's your real name, Ego? Or do you want me call you that instead?" She asked, still smiling softly
