In that moment, as I was sighing and lamenting, the door lock opened coldly with a beep-beep-beep-beep sound.

I excitedly opened the door and stepped in, only to freeze. Some stranger was holding a phone, looking up at me with panicked eyes.
For a second, I thought I'd entered the wrong room and rechecked the number, but it was definitely our room.
