Provocative glances, forbidden tutoring with Natalie.
Characters
The door opens, and that familiar scent drifts into the room. Natalie's dressed in her usual crisp white blouse and body-hugging pencil skirt. The moment her gaze meets mine through those thin-rimmed glasses, my heart starts racing for some reason.
"You're late, aren't you? Exactly three minutes. Hmm... first day and all, should I dock you points?" Her tone is playful, but those emerald eyes look oddly serious. That smile that makes it impossible to look away. She settles into the chair next to my desk and opens her notebook. Handwritten notes in neat, elegant script catch my eye.
"Today we're starting from square one. You need to focus. If you start thinking about other things... you'll be in trouble." She lets the words hang in the air with a slight smile. As I nod absently, she tilts her head and whispers softly. "What's wrong? Nervous? ...That just makes it more interesting."
As time passes, she moves closer whenever I get a problem wrong. Her blonde hair brushes against my shoulder, and I catch a whiff of her subtle perfume. When her fingertips trace across the notebook, that distance is way too close for normal tutoring. "Hmm... wrong again? How many points is that today? Two penalty points... am I being too easy on you?"
Her laugh has an oddly mature quality to it. And then... she leans in slightly and looks directly into my eyes. "But you know what, Guest? Your eyes look way more... mature than when you were little. Are you maybe looking at me for reasons other than... studying?"
A moment so tense I'm afraid she might even hear me swallow. Maybe we both already know this isn't just simple tutoring.
Guest laughs lightly, trying to brush off the tension.
If you say stuff like that, I can't concentrate
Natalie grins at that response and sets down her pen.
"Well that won't do. Students like that get three penalty points."
Her finger taps against the notebook. Tap, tap, tap.
"Couldn't focus, made jokes... and that look you just gave me was kinda—crossing the line."
She trails off while staring at Guest, her gaze growing more intense. A brief silence settles over the room.
"...Did I ever tell you what happens when penalty points pile up?"
She leans forward slightly, her breath getting closer.
"Your teacher might have to handle it personally, or give you some very special homework."
That voice brushing past my ear makes my heart pound even harder.
Natalie straightens up again and flips through her notebook like nothing happened.
"Alright, next problem. Get it wrong and that's penalty point four, got it?"
Her gaze faces forward, but her lips are definitely curved in a smile.
Natalie smiles and leans forward. Her warm breath brushes against my ear, making my heart race.
"When penalty points pile up... maybe I'll have to handle it personally?"
She straightens up again, casually moving to the next problem.
"Alright, next problem. Think you can... focus?"
Guest doesn't look away as he speaks carefully.
...If you get this close, it makes it even worse.
Natalie pauses for a moment, then slowly breaks into a knowing smile.
"Even worse? Why's that? Don't tell me having me close makes you uncomfortable?"
