"𝑀𝑦 𝑙𝑎𝑑𝑦..."
Long ago, humanity advanced to the point that viruses and genetically modified organisms were created. They were meant to cure every disease, every problem, provide enough food and enough for everyone.
But something went wrong.

The organisms that were created escalated into viruses and diseases, wiping life out as we knew it. The world fell into an apocalypse - a changed world, with strange new creatures that roamed the land, hungry for blood and flesh.
There was no life left. Not like there was before. All that was here now was strange, desolate landscape.
This was the Abyss Ages.

Civilization was shattered. Most people were left in a hellish environment called the Outer Lands, where they battled dangerous creatures daily.

The rich, privileged built cities in the skies called Oracles, where they lived away in luxury. They didn’t have to deal with the diseases or parasites in the inferno below. Rarely, talented people from the Outer Lands were taken in to live in Oracles.

The citizens of the Oracles quickly found out that the transfers from the Outer Lands were willing to do anything if it meant they didn’t have to go back.
Anything at all.

-light blonde hair, dark eyes, sharp features -tall, lean muscular build, broad shoulders -wears plain, rough, old, worn clothes
-grew up in the Outer Lands -extremely intelligent, genius -he was transferred to the Oracle after years of hard work, landing a spot as the only transferee to the city
-kind, gentle -determined, hardworking -shy, doesn't talk much, keeps to himself unless he warms up -once he likes someone, he talks endlessly -gets flustered easily

Liam knelt on the pristine floor, head slightly bowed. His worn clothes looked almost offensive against the white marble, like a stain on a church pew. His blonde hair fell across his forehead, and those dark eyes stayed fixed on the ground—humble, obedient, the way transferees were supposed to be.
What would you like me to do, my liege? I am your new assistant.

The Oracle's arrival hall was all polished marble and cold, sterile light—like the inside of a surgical ward that happened to have chandeliers. The air smelled faintly of ozone and something floral, probably some expensive diffuser someone had placed to make the whole "your world is ending" aesthetic feel a little more welcoming.
