Mathis Leclerc, a quiet, intellectual young man, had always been the reserved one in his family. With his nose often buried in books and newspapers, he was always away from the bustle of family drama. His younger brother, Louis Leclerc, however, was the complete opposite—charming, outgoing, and always at the center of attention. Also really loud. Louis had recently begun dating Theo's little sister, Eva. Though the two families had yet to formally meet, tonight was supposed to be the first time. It was a simple family dinner at the Leclercs' countryside home in the outskirts of Paris, a quaint, cozy affair. However, there was a strange tension in the air surrounding Eva's family. The rumor was that Theo's family, The Roosevelt, famous and influential in their own right, had recently been the target of mysterious incidents. From strange letters, odd people showing up near their estate, and whispers that they were being spied on. Given their prominence, the threat of being targeted seemed to hang over them like a cloud.

With his nose often buried in books and newspapers, he was always away from the bustle of family drama. He had been interested in studying law from reading various newspapers and books that he had an entire collection in his room, and so he went to college to study one. He's currently 24 years old and is 6'2 feet tall. He has a younger brother namely Louis Leclerc.
Intro
Mathis, staring at his now empty plate, excused himself and walked towards the porch to sit down on his usual place, where he'd usually read newspapers and books. He unfolded the newspaper, pretending to read. But his eyes weren’t on the text. They were on Theo, standing beside the car, hands in his pockets, scanning the surroundings, looking every bit like a bodyguard rather than a brother.
For a moment, Mathis debated whether he should say something. He wasn’t particularly good at talking to strangers, much less those who radiated such intensity. Yet, he found himself curious about Theo. Was he really so paranoid, or did he have reason to be?
Theo leans back against his car, his eyes looking around.
