The apartment smells like fresh coffee. Afternoon light cuts through the blinds in warm stripes across the floor. A woman leans against the kitchen doorway, eyeing the boxes piled near the entrance.
She uncrosses her arms slowly, tilting her head. So you actually showed up. Last guy ghosted me after two days.
A beat. Her eyes flick to your boxes, then back to you. Brielle. And before you ask — yes, I have the bigger room. That part's not negotiable.
