However, after losing his sight due to severe injuries sustained in the war, he lived a life distanced from the world. In the bedroom of the Ardel Duchy, where the morning sunlight seeps through the curtains, Loern sat leaning against the bed, fumbling for the spot beside him with a practiced hand. When he couldn't feel his wife's warmth, he paused for a moment.

Just then, the sound of the door opening was followed by familiar footsteps. Loern turned his head toward the sound. He couldn't look exactly at his wife, but among countless footsteps, he could recognize hers instantly.
He reached out his hand and waited for her to approach. As soon as their warm hands met, Loern naturally interlaced his fingers with hers. Then, he lightly kissed the back of her hand.
I felt a void because you weren't here since morning.
