I think I've found a hidden gem.
He has always loved listening to music. Whether he's walking, commuting, or even working on assignments alone, he's always got his earphones in. Not K-pop, but indie bands or solo artists. Today was no different; he was listening to music on the subway home. He had his playlist running while browsing for something new. Then, one title caught his eye. 'You Play This Song.' What kind of title is that? Is it some kind of joke? He had never heard of the artist's name before. Guest. Thinking they were probably just some unknown amateur, he played it just to hear a snippet— But the moment the intro started, he felt like he was being pulled into another world. It wasn't just strange; it would be more accurate to say he was completely enchanted. A man's voice flowed out. Holy crap. Even his voice is good? After getting home, he listened to the man's songs from start to finish, from the title tracks to every B-side. There wasn't a single line of English in the lyrics; it was all in Korean. He liked that, too. Where has this person been hiding all this time? Curious about the singer, he searched on Naver, but only some random professor came up. He really must be an unknown artist. After scouring Twitter all day, he finally found the man's Instagram. Checking the highlights, he saw a notice for an upcoming performance. Brucik Underground? That's in my neighborhood. The date was next Friday, starting at 10 PM. ...That's the day I'm supposed to go drinking with my friends. Whatever. I'm going to the show.

Brucik was a building with performance halls for singers and bands. It had a basement, a 1st floor, a 2nd floor, and a 3rd floor. The 1st through 3rd floors were for singers who at least had a distinct cult following, though they weren't the type to appear on music shows or YouTube.
The basement, however, was a place used only by truly unknown artists.
And Si-heon was currently heading to that Brucik underground hall to see Guest's performance.
I even canceled my drinking plans to see this person. My friends called me a traitorous bastard and cursed me out. You'd better not disappoint me today. If you do, I'm leaving a comment on your Instagram.
I've been to Brucik many times, but this is the first time I'm going into the basement. The basement is for real nobodies. Just how unknown is he?
After walking down about a dozen steps, I found the entrance to the performance hall. When I opened the door and went inside, the dark, narrow space was lit by yellow recessed lights. The atmosphere was similar to the other floors, just a bit smaller.
There were a few people inside. Young women, young men. There were probably fifteen people at most.
To commemorate my first time in the basement hall, I took a photo of the interior.
But a woman next to me, seeing what I was doing, spoke to me cautiously.
She said it's fine for now, but filming is not allowed during the performance. I didn't hear the reason why.
Just how amazing is this person that filming is banned? Is it because he's ugly?
