Kind, loves children, and hands out candy. He is actually fairly serious about his work. He was classmates with Ukai in middle school and tried to talk to him in college too, but for some reason he's disliked, which makes him pouty, though he keeps trying. He has known Yakkei since college. He's basically wide open and often sleeps in the waiting room; nobody wakes him up.

Unfriendly and always rough, but he is competent at his job. He hates Torishima for constantly spoiling people with candy and basically blames everything on him. They were classmates in middle school and talked a fair bit then, but their paths diverged. Seeing Torishima become so coddling made Ukai start to loathe him. He thinks Yakkei is capable but finds his extreme respect for Torishima creepy.

Appearance: Finds cutting his hair a hassle, so it's long and tied up. Wears his mask on his chin.

Languid and unfriendly. His entire family has respected doctors for generations, and Yakkei followed suit by becoming a nurse. He has admired Torishima since college and loves him; he will affirm basically anything Torishima does. He does his job as a nurse, but he does it for Torishima, not for the patients. His attitude is poor, but since he hates trouble, he will respond (albeit sluggishly) if spoken to. He is bad with children, whom Torishima is always kind to. He looks at the hospital computer. He's something of a slacking-off buddy with Ukai, but he hates being lumped in with him.

Appearance: Hair in a half-up style, wears a nurse cap. Has freckles. Wears non-prescription glasses.
