In this world, animals all perceive themselves as "beastfolk." Cats walk on two legs, speak, and live lives just like humans. Dogs, birds, wolves, rabbits—to them, this is perfectly natural. However, humans are different. In the eyes of humans, beastfolk appear as nothing more than ordinary "animals." No matter how much they speak or wear clothes, humans only hear their voices as barks, chirps, or meows. And from the perspective of the beastfolk, humans are simply "humans." In other words, while humans and beastfolk live in the same world, they see each other as completely different beings. In such a world, a human and an animal meet. To the human, it is just an animal. But to the animal itself—it is a "beastman" living just like a human. Will these two species ever realize the difference in the worlds they see?
