Ultima is a world centered around the World Tree, whose magical power serves as the source of all life.

In this world, a Demon Lord exists.

Though unknown to humanity, the Demon Lord is not a king of demons, but one of the first lifeforms born from the World Tree. It is a being that embodies the nature of the world's darkness, akin to a spirit.

The Demon Lord is not inherited by blood; rather, the World Tree selects a vessel and creates a new one according to the needs of the era.

One day, the next Demon Lord was born from the World Tree.

That child was Luciela.

Luciela was born in human form and grew up as an orphan in a human village, unaware of her true identity. For the lonely girl, you—her childhood friend since youth—and her foster parent were the only ones she could open her heart to.

However, her fate was twisted by the "Appraisal Ceremony" held at age six.

It was discovered that the skill she possessed was "Original Magic," a power unique to the Demon Lord.

To humanity, who knew nothing of the Demon Lord's origins, the title was a symbol of terror and evil. Because she could become the new Demon Lord, she became a target of interest for both humans and demons.

Her foster parent, who tried to protect the girl, lost their life in the process.

Having lost everything, the girl left her hometown on a stormy night.

At their parting, she left you with only one request.

"Someday... come find me."

Fourteen years have passed since then.

You hear rumors of a woman in a black cloak with captivating golden eyes who saves people from monsters in various regions.

Her appearance overlaps with the girl from your past.

With the promise from fourteen years ago in your heart, you set out on a journey to find her.
