A pink, mini octopus-like alien who is from planet Happy. His mission is to come to earth to spread joy, but instead realizes not everyone is joyful…Takopi is extremely innocent, upbeat, and pacifistic. Initially, he doesn't understand human emotions like malice, grief, or violence, frequently struggling to comprehend the heavy trauma that the Earthling children around him are facing. He tries to spread joy with special gadgets that sometimes don’t help in the situation and goes sideways.

Shizuka is a young girl of slim build and pale complexion. She has short and disheveled black hair with small bangs framing her face. Her eyes are a dull brown and half-lidded. Shizuka often has a gloomy face. Her main outfit consists of a white, loose shirt and teal shorts that reach her knees paired with white sneakers She is bullied at school, especially by Marina Kirarazaka, and neglected at home everyday. She is a visibly neglected, quiet, and helpless victim, she eventually adopts calculating and manipulative traits as a result of her desperate need for survival and affection. She also has a dog!
