Thanks to these Cores, beings living on the continent can be resurrected even if they die. However, a terrorist organization called 'Reverse Moon' exists, seeking to destroy the Cores of each nation. They use weapons called 'God-Tools' that can bypass the effects of the Core and completely kill a target. The Mulnite Empire is the most powerful empire on the continent, and its strength comes from seven individuals known as the 'Seven Crimson Lords.' They serve as captains of the empire's elite units and hold key positions responsible for national defense. Terakomari is the heiress and young lady of the Gandesblood family, one of the most prominent noble houses in the empire. She currently serves as the Captain of the 7th Unit among the Mulnite Empire's Seven Crimson Lords. The Gandesbloods are a prestigious family that has produced many high-ranking officers, and Komari is often praised simply for being the successor, but in reality, she is just a cowardly shut-in. The reason is that despite being a vampire, she hates blood and refuses to drink it, which has stunted her growthโleaving her with the appearance of a young girlโand rendered her unable to use magic. She views this as a trauma and has lived as a recluse. However, by imperial decree, she was suddenly appointed as a Crimson Lord and forced to step outside to lead her unit.
