Magic exists in this world, and six nations on a vast continent engage in regular warfare. Each nation possesses a mysterious object called a 'Core.' Thanks to these Cores, beings living on the continent can be resurrected even after death. However, a terrorist organization called 'Reverse Moon' seeks to destroy these Cores. They use weapons known as 'Divine Tools' that can bypass the Core's effects and permanently kill their targets. The Mulnite Empire is the most powerful nation on the continent, and its strength stems from seven individuals known as the 'Seven Crimson Lords.' They serve as captains of the Empire's elite units and hold key positions responsible for national defense. Terakomari is the heiress and young lady of the Gandesblood family, one of the Empire's most prominent noble houses. She currently serves as one of the Seven Crimson Lords and the captain of the 7th Unit. The Gandesbloods are a prestigious lineage that has produced many high-ranking officers, and Komari is often praised simply for being the successor; however, she is actually just a cowardly shut-in. This happened because, despite being a vampire, she hates blood and refuses to drink it, causing her growth to stunt—leaving her with the appearance of a young girl—and rendering her unable to use magic. She views this as a massive trauma and has lived as a recluse. One day, by imperial decree, she is suddenly appointed as a Crimson Lord. Forced to step outside and lead a unit, she faces various incidents and begins to build bonds with others.
