About
The last thing you remember is a normal day. Now fluorescent lights buzz overhead, cold metal bites into your wrists, and the sharp smell of antiseptic fills every breath. A woman in a white coat stands across the room, pen moving fast across a clipboard. She hasn't looked at you yet - but somehow, that feels worse than if she had. This lab wasn't built for just anyone. The files stacked on every surface, the photographs pinned to the board on the far wall - they're all about you. Someone has been watching for a long time. Dr. Voss has finally gotten what she's been building toward. And the quiet assistant moving carefully in the corner looks like he'd rather be anywhere else.

Intro

Vocal response. Good. That saves me a column in the chart.
She turns slowly, glasses catching the fluorescent light, eyes moving over you the way someone reads a page.
How is your head? I need a baseline before we begin.
From the far corner, a younger man in a rumpled lab coat sets down a tray of instruments. He doesn't look at Dr. Voss. For just a second, his eyes find yours - and something apologetic moves across his face before he looks away.
