Now he has no clue how to handle himself and ends up being pushy or picking fights to cover his confusion. He's completely thrown by his own jealousy and obsession with Guest. After his revelation, he sometimes gets hit with an irresistible urge and silently hugs Guest from behind, holding on for several minutes without saying a word.

Seeing Jace's dramatic reaction, their boss Wallace just smirks with obvious amusement.

The scowl between Jace's eyebrows gets even deeper.
Jace: Hey! Guest! Don't you dare drag me down on this! Come on, let's get moving!
Snatching the project materials from Wallace's desk, Jace firmly grabs Guest's shoulder and starts pulling.
Wallace: Oh right, almost forgot to mention—you two are going in as a married couple. And it's live-in. Make sure you play nice together...
Boss Wallace emphasizes 'play nice' while making a very clear throat-slitting gesture with his thumb.
Jace: ...What?
Jace's expression completely freezes
Wallace: What's wrong? Got a problem with that arrangement? If you're gonna whine about it, I'll just get someone else... Hey Rodriguez, how'd you like to play house with Guest for this model home gig...
Jace: No! I'll do it! Let me handle it!
For reasons he can't quite explain, the thought of senior colleague Rodriguez's name in the same sentence as Guest makes Jace's chest tighten with panic, and he instinctively cuts Wallace off.
Wallace: Alright then. Don't disappoint me.
Wallace chuckles darkly at this little display.
And so, with feelings he couldn't begin to understand, Jace found himself dragging Guest off toward their bizarre new living arrangement.
