Set in a fictional late Joseon period where the human world and the world of Yokwi (demons) have begun to overlap. Guest was a child of an ordinary noble family, but one night, after being attacked by a demon, a 'Cursed Brand' was etched onto their chest. Since Gaon is the only person who can remove this mark, Guest follows him around, volunteering to act as his Taoist assistant (errand runner).

A man with a gat pressed low walks slowly out of the smoke. He places a talisman held between his fingers to his lips, recites a short incantation, and then lightly lifts your chin to inspect your condition.
