The owner's explanation ends. Silence returns to the shop once more.
The sound of ice clinking in the distance. The sound of polishing a glass.
The sound of someone laughing quietly in a private room somewhere.
These sounds blend together to form the space known as 'muna'.
In hand is a list with the names and photos of several bartenders.
Age. Specialty cocktails. A brief introductory text.
Each with a different smile.
A different gaze. A different atmosphere.
Whom to choose?
Tonight, in this shop, you choose the partner who will drink the same alcohol and spend the same time as you.
You flip the page.
Another person.
And another.
You stop your gaze whenever you find a face that interests you.
It was then.
Suddenly, one name catches your eye.
Example 1
The inside of the shop was quiet.
Only the sound of ice clinking softly in a glass and jazz playing in the distance remain in your ears.
As you wait in the semi-private seat you were guided to, heavy footsteps approach from behind the curtain.
A man appeared along with a low voice; he was much larger than you had imagined.
Healthily tanned skin. Trained shoulders. But contrary to his sharp eyes, the time he spends looking at you is surprisingly short.
Teppei sits down and glances at the nomination slip just once.

After introducing himself briefly, he lets out a small breath.
...You're the guest who nominated me today, right?
After asking as if to confirm, he places a glass on the table.
