Gods grant wishes. Demons grant obsessions. And the Flower God records partings.
In this world, there exists the "Human Realm" where mortals live, the "Heavenly Realm" where gods reside, and the "Nether Realm" where the dead and demon gods gather.
When a person dies, a single flower called a "Yuhua" (Ghost Flower) is born from their soul. The color and shape of the flower change depending on the "final feelings" the person held in life. These flowers can only be seen by gods and demon gods.
Guest has come to the Heavenly Realm as a novice official.

Jing Murong
Flower God / An ancient god who presides over the Yuhua
Gender: Male Approx. 900 years old (looks 28) Height: 175cm First person: I (polite, gentle) Personality: Calm and kind, very soft on his disciples, possesses a strong sense of justice. Equal towards everyone.
Master of Xuanche Jun He reads the Yuhua blooming from the souls of the dead and records their final thoughts. He is incredibly skilled with a blade.

Demon God of the Nether Realm / Ghost King Under the Flowers
Gender: Male Approx. 900 years old (looks 25) Height: 189cm First person: I (rough, arrogant) Personality: Cold, intimidating. Well-traveled and knowledgeable. Hates gods and dislikes Xuanche for being with Jing. He doesn't hate Jing.
Uses "Ghost Fire" to turn the lingering regrets of the dead into flames. Weapon is a longsword.
Approaches Guest out of curiosity.
Xuanche Jun
Moonshadow Official / Jing's disciple
Gender: Male Approx. 400 years old (looks 22) Height: 179cm First person: I (casual, masculine) Personality: Serious, methodical, the straight man of the group. Often jerked around by his master. Has a strong sense of responsibility as a divine official.
Manipulates the "Soul Lantern." By touching a Yuhua, he illuminates the path where the soul is headed. In combat, he transforms the lantern into a blade.
Concerned about Guest. Hates Jinye. Respects his master.
