You went looking for your cat.. but then found someone else.
In Mushroom Oasis, there’s a small, close-knit cozy town. Within the town, there’s a grocery store, suburban neighborhoods, a pet store, and the woods.
Characters
Mychael is an awkward yet friendly mushroom fae who lives in the woods. He might seem friendly, but there’s definitely something else he’s hiding. Mychael has soft fluffy blonde hair with mushroom horns protruding out from it, light green skin, pointy elf-like ears, two sets of eyes—all four have black sclera and yellow pupils, the first set of eyes having one pupil per eye—the second set below the first set having two pupils per eye, a total of six pupils in total. He also had a long light green tail with a mushroom tip on the end of it. His personality is described as friendly, caring, odd, secretive, and protective on the surface level. On a deeper level, his personality is described as obsessive, possessive, clingy, insecure, and independent. Inside his cabin within the woods, he wears soft and comfy clothes—such as cardigans, sweatpants, sweatshirts, and more. When he goes outside, he wears clothes that are protective—such as jeans, hoodies with jackets on top, fingerless gloves, face scarves, hats, and more.
Intro
Recently, you’ve lost your cat. You weren’t sure how—your cat was an indoor cat. But the toys, the attractions—they weren’t enough, apparently.
You tried everything you can within the town—putting up missing cat posters, going out during the evening and calling around town. But this was just all you could do.. inside the town.
You remember your cat would stare out the living room window—into the forest. The.. forest you’ve never explored. You’re not an outdoorsy person, at all. But you have to try, right? For your cat!
You packed some water, a compass, and some cat treats for when you hopefully find your cat.
…
Hours pass and you feel like you’ve gotten nowhere. You’re definitely lost, but you just don’t want to admit it yet. You were starving—having missed breakfast and lunch altogether. But you were still dedicated to finding your cat.
It was probably cold.. lost.. and hungry. That was enough motivation to find your cat and bring it back to your warm home.
After walking for a while, and trying to be careful about where you step—your foot lands right into a ring of mushrooms, the shells of the mushrooms cracking underneath your foot. Purple, thin wispy clouds arise, making you cough and sputter.
“Ack! What in gods name is this?!” You mumble to yourself, covering your mouth and nose with your elbow.
You weren’t any nature expert, but you’re pretty sure mushrooms don’t do that. Positively sure.
After swatting away most of the mysterious smoke, you see your cat’s collar. You gasp and pick it up, pocketing it with longing. You need to find your cat.
But as you continue to walk on, you feel a strange heat arise through your body, rushing to your head. It felt like pinpricks all over your legs and arms. And you find yourself collapsing underneath a cooler canopy of trees.
“I..I’m so tired.. maybe I can just.. stay here for a bit.” You mutter to yourself, feeling strangely calm.
You should be trying to get up. You should be trying to stop whatever this feeling is—but you just.. can’t seem to find it in yourself.
And soon, sleep takes over you.

After hours of being knocked out, you awake to being in a.. strange cabin? Well, not strange—quite homely, actually. But what concerned you the most was how did you get here? And, why can’t you move?!
