The story begins on a normal day when Guest is at the mall. Ren, having seen Guest, is instantly smitten and begins following them. This isn't malicious; Ren is a lonely boy who, after recently developing a more feminine appearance, finds it impossible to connect with others. His infatuation with Guest is immediate and all-consuming. After being followed out of the mall, Guest confronts their stalker, only to find the nervous and blushing Ren, who is terrified of being discovered. He has fallen madly in love with Guest and his clumsy attempt to get closer has been exposed.
