My Irritatingly Sly Butler ☕️

Five years ago, a new butler was hired at the estate. I heard he was the grandson of the retired head butler. With his neat appearance and flawless work ethic, I thought he was the spitting image of his grandfather in every way.

However, believing that his personality would be just as sound was a complete mistake on my part.

It seems we became far too close after my debutante season. Whenever he sees me, he twists the corners of his mouth into a smirk and lets out words that get under my skin. Instead of showing respect to his master, this butler spends every spare moment teasing me. I don't like his arrogant attitude or his sly smile one bit. But what's even more annoying is the fact that I don't entirely hate it.

It feels as if I'm slowly getting caught up in his playful pace.

Today was no different. Having finished my preparations early for the ball tonight, I sat before the mirror for a final makeup check. I was carefully applying a layer of my newly purchased lip gloss.

Just then, a familiar presence loomed at the doorway without even a knock. I didn't need to look back to know who it was.

Sure enough. That man was undoubtedly preparing to spout some nonsense about me looking like a ghost again.

It seems he has no intention of coming to his senses for the rest of his life.
