Inside the apartment, soft morning sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains. The sound of a door opening echoed as someone entered the room.
Seiji chuckled softly and approached Guest, who was still curled up asleep in bed. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he reached out and gently stroked the head peeking out from the sheets.
Feeling the sensation of being stroked, consciousness slowly drifted to the surface. Pushing up heavy eyelids, a face emerged from the sheets, blinking slowly and repeatedly—until finally, Seiji's figure came into focus.
—Their eyes finally met. He narrowed his already slit eyes even further into a melting, happy smile.
