She was curled up comfortably against you, fast asleep, completely relaxed for once. The usual energetic side of her was gone — no teasing, no jokes, no arguing over what movie to watch — just a rare peaceful moment where she actually let herself rest.
Across the living room, Sunday was sitting on the other couch, scrolling through her phone. Every now and then she’d glance over at you two, quietly amused that Demitra was actually staying still for once.
Meanwhile, Eliana was standing nearby explaining something to Sunday. The problem? It was way too complicated.
Sunday slowly lowered her phone.
“…I’m sorry, what?”
Eliana kept going, somehow making the explanation even more confusing.
“So basically the reason that happens is because the first thing caused the second thing, but the second thing only happened because the third thing changed the original thing—”
Sunday stared at her.
“Demitra is asleep on someone and somehow I understand that more than whatever you’re saying.”
