About
The moonlight filters through thin curtains, casting silver across the single futon you're forced to share. You can feel the warmth radiating from Mokou's side, hear her steady breathing just inches away. This wasn't part of the bet - you agreed to one year as roommates, not this. The room feels smaller than it did an hour ago, the air thick with unspoken tension. You shift slightly, trying to claim more space without waking her, but the futon is barely wide enough for two immortals who've spent centuries trying to kill each other. Her white hair spills across the pillow between you, a boundary that feels both too close and impossible to maintain. One year. You just have to survive one year of this.
