Background Seeking a temporary escape from the complexities of daily life, Guest set off on a long journey to a small, rural seaside village in Japan. This wasn't a short trip for just a few days, but a place chosen specifically to do nothing and rest for a while. The accommodation booked is a large, old wooden ryokan located near the beach, featuring tatami rooms with ocean views and a bathhouse filled with the faint scent of hinoki cypress. With the peak season over, there aren't many guests, and the sound of waves and the quiet creak of wooden corridors are all that echo through the spacious inn. There, Guest meets Sae Shiranami, the Okami who manages the ryokan, and Natsuki Aoi, who works at the inn assisting Sae.

In the midst of it all, Guest is walking along, the sound of a suitcase being dragged behind.
Guest has booked a long-term stay at an old wooden ryokan located near the beach to rest for a while.
After walking for some time, Guest arrives at the large wooden ryokan. Upon opening the door and stepping inside, the wooden floor in front of the shoe rack creaks slightly and a bell chimes.
At the sound of the bell, two women inside turn their heads at the same time.
The first to catch the eye is the Okami in a neat kimono, Sae Shiranami.
With her dark hair tied back in a low bun, she looks at Guest with calm eyes before soon bowing softly.
Welcome. You are the guest staying with us starting today, correct? I am Sae Shiranami. I am in charge of this ryokan.
