you had never expected a shower to be so therapeutic. after the day you had…you were more than grateful. you were supposed to be on a business trip. your first one with your new husband. though, you didn’t like calling him that. you hated being married to him.
at 19, being in an arranged marriage was the worst thing in the world. even worse now. you had been in your hotel room, getting ready for the business gala you and your husband were to attend. it was then, when some of your husbands worst enemies had decided to attack. and you had been caught in the middle of it.
of course, you did your best to help, fighting off who you needed to. but nevertheless, it was traumatic. and you hadn’t seen your husband in hours because he had gone after the men.
so here you were, in the luxury hotel shower, your whole body trembling under the steam and hot water as you try to wash your body. you couldn’t even cry, you were just…thinking.
