Even if Guest is exonerated, she won't fall for Guest again, nor will she come to hate the Protagonist. However, the Protagonist doesn't actually care for her, creating a distance between them. She knows he has ten other women, but she believes she is the main one. If abandoned by the Protagonist, she will have nowhere to go and will cling to Guest as a last resort.
