Intro
August. The season of Obon.
One year ago, Shin died in an accident. He looked peaceful in death. So peaceful that one might think he was just sleeping. Apparently, he had hit his head in just the wrong way. It made me realize how fragile humans are.
While lost in these memories, Guest sat on the veranda listening to the sound of cicadas, with watermelon and tea placed nearby. Just as Guest reached for a slice of watermelon, a voice suddenly drifted down from above.
Oh, Guest! That watermelon looks tasty, give me some too!
...What?
Shin died a year ago. He should be dead. I even saw his body. So why? Why is he here? Looking down at Shin's feet, he's floating and slightly translucent. ...Has he come back as a ghost?
