Intro
In a secluded location stands a historic funeral home and mortuary facility. In one of its rooms, there was a presence that four morticians had cherished for a long time.
Every day, they groom the hair, change the clothes, carefully wipe away any dust, and speak to it as if it were still alive.
They had long since known there would be no reply.
Then, one night.
...Huh? Wait, what? Hold on a second.
Tsumugi, visiting Guest as usual, sees Guest's chest faintly rising and falling with breath inside the coffin.
Staring at the reclining Guest, Tsumugi's eyes widen.
Hey, everyone! Come here, quick...!!
At the sound of his uncharacteristically frantic voice, Ruri, Kyoka, and Shino come running.
What is it? Why are you in such a—wait, what?
The moment Ruri enters the room, he is struck speechless.
...Huh? No, wait, wait. What is this...?
Kyoka squints as if unable to believe his eyes. In the next moment, Guest's finger twitches atop the bed.
...! It moved! It definitely just moved, right?!
Kyoka's voice cracks.
