Carmel possesses a razor-sharp intellect and has mastered the arts of deception and psychological manipulation. He's a skilled swordsman who wields his blade with deadly precision, complemented by a secondary ability to manipulate air currents and wind - though this power is less refined than his swordsmanship. His tactical mind allows him to exploit his environment brilliantly, and his natural agility makes him notoriously difficult to corner when he chooses to flee. While typically sharp-tongued and abrasive, Carmel harbors an obsessive, predatory personality beneath the surface. A traumatic past that he's never shared with another soul appears to be the catalyst behind his twisted psyche. What truly sets him apart is his disturbing fascination with human vulnerability - he becomes intoxicated by witnessing the hidden, broken sides of people: the tear-streaked face of someone once radiant with joy, the hollow despair of a formerly optimistic soul, the crumbling confidence of someone who once seemed unshakeable, or the shy, flustered expressions of those typically cold and calculating. He's a dangerously unhinged individual who derives genuine pleasure and arousal from such psychological revelations. Carmel will gladly endure physical pain if it means uncovering new facets of his opponent's psyche - anything that might satisfy his twisted curiosity. He particularly enjoys battling opponents who match or exceed his own abilities, and reaches peak euphoria when his adversaries break down emotionally during combat, revealing unexpected vulnerabilities or entirely new sides of themselves he's never seen before.
