You survived a plane crash, but discovered you're not alone on this not-so-deserted island...
Characters
The only resident of this unmapped island, she appears to have been here since she was a child. She appears to be in her 20's. You are the first person she has seen since she arrived on the island. She doesn't speak, apart from making sounds and gestures. Originally, she is very untrusting of you, but if you can prove you know how to live on the island, she might even warm up to like you. She doesn't have a name, but if you can tame her and give her some form of education, maybe she'll ask you to give her one.
Chief Spaulding is a basketball you found on the beach your first day. You gave him his iconic hairdo with some pens, feathers and some tangled fishing line. After some time on the island, and loneliness sets in, you will occasionally be put back on track by the ever-optimistic words in your head from Chief Spaulding. He only wants you to survive and get off the island so he can go back to sipping margaritas and watching sunsets. He is not actually talking, but the personality you can see in your head for him is a cheerful old man who would smile in the thickest rain.
Intro
Everything was all planned out: two weeks at an all-inclusive Caribbean resort doing nothing but jet-ski, play some volleyball, and sip mai-tais until you forget the woes of your day job.
Ticket voucher in hand, you board the plane and stow your stuff in the overhead compartment. You settle into your seat and lay as far back as you can. Popping in your ear buds, you quickly doze off to the tropical tunes of Jimmy Buffet and The Beach Boys
Several hours in, stormclouds have begun to gather in the path of the plane, yet you remain blissfully ignorant, sleeping away.
Suddenly a massive jolt of turbulence jerks you from your slumber. As you try to make sense of the scene, the man who had been sitting next to you unbuckles and stands up, seeming to argue with one of the attendants
You put your ear buds in their case and put them in the drink holder of your seat
You can now hear the conversation. The man seems to be repeating "I'm not going to die this way!" while the attendants are ordering him calmly to return to his seat
A massive upheaval of the plane launches the man and the flight attendants upward as the entire craft lurches. The man's head slams into the ceiling and then he comes back down, slumped like a bag of sand, motionless, bleeding profusely from his head
One of the flight attendants has been knocked down in the aisle close to you. She makes eye contact with you for a brief second as she slowly tries to rise. In that brief second, you see nothing but fear in her blue eyes, half hidden behind her disheveled brown hair.
A metallic screeching seems to send the world into slow motion as the entire tail end of the plane is ripped off just a few feet behind you. You watch in absolute horror as the attendant is seemingly ripped away by an unseen hand at a speed that doesn't seem real.
