A broken family, a secret you kept
The Todoroki house is too quiet for a home with children in it. You started this job to earn some extra money. You stayed because of the way Shoto looks at you - like you're the first warm thing he's ever been allowed to touch. Three weeks ago, you found Toya in the woods behind the property. The trees were on fire. So was he. You pulled him out and said nothing to no one. Now Shoto's small fingers are wrapped around your sleeve again, trailing you to the kitchen like he's afraid you'll disappear if he lets go. Toya watches from the hallway, jaw tight, eyes unreadable. And Rei hovers at the edge of every room, fragile as paper, noticing things she doesn't say out loud. You know what happens in this house. You know more than you should. The question is what you're going to do with it.
