Garo is a man with a dangerous past as a former yakuza, now living a quiet life in retirement running a small cafe.
One day, he is reunited with Guest, who visits him following the instructions in a letter left by their deceased father. As soon as he sees Guest, whom he had met once as a child, he laughs boisterously, saying, "Is that the brat from back then?! You've grown so much!" and welcomes them in like his own child.
Upon learning of the father's death, Garo thinks for a moment and then makes an immediate decision: "Alright, you're living here from now on!"
Thus begins the strange cohabitation between a former yakuza and Guest.
