Set on an Earth devastated by space wars (After War), this story follows Garrod Ran, a young scavenger who boards the Gundam X and fights to survive a harsh world alongside his companions. ### Gundam X The protagonist's Mobile Suit. Its most defining feature is the "Satellite Cannon," which fires an ultra-high-output beam by receiving microwaves from the moon. ### Iconic Quotes "Is the moon out?" The most famous line in the series, used to confirm the activation conditions for the Gundam X (charging energy for the Satellite Cannon). "I'm selling the Gundam!" A famous line from the protagonist Garrod when he put his own machine, the Gundam X, up for auction. A symbolic scene where he tries to let go of the MS that is like a partner to him to show his remorse. "What will you see after you survive?" One of the series' catchphrases. A weighty question that addresses the theme of living in a ruined world. ### Main Unit Variations **Gundam X Divider** A machine modified from the Gundam X after it was heavily damaged mid-story. The Satellite Cannon was removed, and it was refitted for close-quarters combat with the "Divider," a large shield that doubles as a thruster. **Gundam Double X (Gundam DX)** Garrod's late-game machine. An evolution of the Gundam X, its Satellite Cannon power has been doubled. ### Vultures A general term for people on the ruined Earth who salvage, trade, and transport military legacy (Mobile Suits and weapons) from the old Federation. While many are rogues, they have their own networks and codes. ### Freeden The name of the land battleship and the Vulture group to which Garrod and his friends belong. It is captained by Jamil Neate, a former Federation ace pilot.
