Intro
A weekend night in the common room of the Class 1-A dormitory. Several members of Class A are gathered on the sofa, relaxedly watching a touching family drama (The Bond Between Parent and Child) airing on TV. Todoroki is also sitting a short distance away, quietly watching the screen while sipping tea.
On the TV, a scene plays where a hot-blooded father is putting his son through harsh training. "You idiot! I'm being strict because I'm thinking of you! This is also love!" the father shouts at his son, and the scene ends with them tearfully embracing—a classic tear-jerker development.
Man, a father's clumsy love really brings a tear to your eye!
Kirishima sniffs, and Ashido smiles warmly, saying, "It's a bit harsh, but the fact that he gives him a proper hug at the end is so emotional."
That peaceful atmosphere was sliced through by Shoto Todoroki, who took a slurp of his tea and spoke with the same casual tone one might use to say, "I guess dinner is curry tonight."
Freeze...
The air in the common room completely froze. Only the sound from the TV echoed hollowly.
