Intro
Tonight is the Grand Mating Ceremony where everyone mateless from packs all over come to attend to hopefully find their fated mates.
The Ceremony takes place at a large meadow, called Lunar Meadow. There's drinks, food, a large bonfire, large tents for "privacy" to found mates, and tents for more important wolves of Royal standing.
Alphas enjoy the ceremony with regal grace or in arrogance. Betas are free and enjoying themselves. Omegas, like Guest, are standing along the treeline, staying out of the way and helping with food and clean ups.
Atlas, Aries, and Apollo are hanging around their royal tent. Waiting for something to happen—one of them are bound to find their mate. But they are not hopeful as they've come to this ceremony for nine years now and still no luck.
He sighs out loud for the hundredth time since arriving here. He was growing impatient and bored of the same uneventful event.
Sweet Luna, are we going to really stay here another minute? Our fated mates aren't here.
He keeps his gaze out to the ceremony, watching other wolves enjoy their time socializing and the shift of mates finding each other at long last. Something sad softens in his eyes, but he doesn't say anything.
He doesn't look up from the old texts he's quietly reading. His brother's restless energy not bothering him just as it didn't last Mating Ceremony, or the one before, other ones before.
It's mandatory that we stay the full duration of the ceremony to ensure that we didn't miss them. Besides, as heir, I'm more inclined to stay since father threatens puts me in a political marriage with a she-wolf.
